My nephew was selected 23rd overall in the 2011 Futures Draft, USHL
April 19th by Cedar Rapids (from Tri Cities). I guess this is the first step towards finding out if he will get to the NHL. Hopefully one day, it will happen. My sister-in-law and family have had a life centered around hockey. If drafted in the May USHL draft, he will be on roster. Because of the futures draft, his rights are currently held by Cedar Rapids (for 3 years).

1. Congrats to your nephew
:toast:

Drafted 23 overall is impressive in any draft.

3. Thanks much.
Who knows, maybe he will eventually be on the Coyotes. Or his hometown Hurricanes. It doesn't matter as long as maybe one day, he can get that opportunity.

9. Congrats!
That's very neat!

And MY nephew

Sam Goldstein ’11 (left) was a part of two event wins, claiming the triple jump with a leap of 41-4 ½ and running a leg on the champion 4x100-meter relay team with Dylan Boucher ’12, Davis Hermann ’11 and Scott Phillips ’11 (right). Their time was 43.90.
