Anyone That Still Thinks That "Sheed Isn't A Leader
Dosen't know enough about Basketball to fill a thimble. The guy is a great basketball player and If I were in his shoes I would get tossed out of every game with the shit poor lacky's that Monkey boy Dave keeps around to shine his shoes and ref his league.

Game 7 I love both teams hopefully Monkey boy Stern's ref crew isn't as bad as this one but really is there a good ref in the NBA?

1. He might be a leader in Detroit, but he was anything
but a leader when we suffered through his bullshit
here in Portland.

I'm happy the Pistons won though. On to Game 7,
may the best team win.

2. Exactly.
He does show up for more big games since he moved to Detroit, but his disappearing act hasn't completely disappeared, as a number of Detroit fans have noted this year.

4. I was thinking more about the mouth and the on-court tantrums.
"CTC, cut the check," throwing the towel at Arvydas,
the technicals.

If all he's doing is disappearing in games, that's
nothing compared to what we put up with from him.

6. Ah, kaitykaity, you know where I stand
But I'll repeat it anyway:

Sheed only found success when he didn't have to be The Guy. He's a sidekick with franchise talent. Sheed pulling a 20-10 night in a Blazer uni was far less likely than him getting booted out of a game for hysterics about a call 99.99999% of other players would shrug off. Him getting tossed out of the conference finals against the Lakers was classic Wallace. One of the biggest games of his career, his team's depending on him, and he can't keep his mouth shut WHEN HE KNEW THE REFS WOULD BE GUNNING FOR HIM.

I love it when Pistons fans--and some Blazer fans who are still inexplicably in love with 'T' Wallace--talk about what a great player he is. They're just lucky they only needed him to put them over the top: If the Pistons had to rely on him as The Guy, they'd get the same pouting, childish, lazy, unprofessional, mentally unstable Wallace we know so well.

7. If I didn't say it then, I'll say it now.
Spot on. That's exactly it.

He is a great player, or has amazing talent, put it that
way. But being the 2nd to a guy like Ben Wallace was exactly what 'Sheed needed.

3. Disappearing for large stretches of games
does not a leader make.

5. Yup You Are All Right.
"Sheed is the devil. I just wish he was more like that college basketball coach ( what's his name?) who is on all those commercials saying how he doesn't look at himself as a basketball coach but as a leader all the while behaving in a maner that Rasheed Wallace couldn't dream of. If you think "sheed throws a tantrum read "the leaders" lips next time Duke is on TV.

And of course we have got our feerless comish. David Stern now there is a leader. Give me a break. The fact that Rasheed Wallace openly challenges that piece of shit is one more reason to love the guy.

And as for the Blazers, yeah it must have been "sheed" holding them back since they have won the NBA title every year since he has left.

The guy is good and he challenges the bullshit that is the NBA hierarchy God bless him.

10. And What Cheap Shot Did I Take?
have The Blazers been worth two shits since he left? Were there other players on that roster cough JR Rider cough who were not exactly prize winning citizens?

And about the T's that Rasheed gets. have you noticed 90% of them are a fucking joke? And I remember the game he got tossed against LA and I thought it was an outrage... that Stern would go that far to protect his
money boys The Lakers. Shit how many T's would the old the Piston teams from the 80's have if they got called like they do on Rasheed Wallace?
What about players Like Kevin Mchale? shit that guy wouldn't finish a game. but he was was white and non threatning so his complaining...was OK.

12. His toxic impact was far-reaching.
You slam my team but not to me and you ask what
cheap shot? :eyes: Oh please.

I'm not defending the Blazers here. I know how
bad they are. How bad they are helped us get rid
of toxic 'Sheed and Trader Bob, who was responsible
for "cough" JR Rider.

You got a problem with Stern, it's real dumb to
hitch your wagon to a guy who doesn't give two
shits about you.

'Sheed said, paraphrasing here "if you're not in
my direct circle, I don't care what you think."

Whatever.

11. How many nonsequitars can you fit into one post?
Playing to one's potential in one or two games doesn't make a leader. It just means one is finally doing their job.

13. He's a great team player here in Detroit
If he wasn't in Portland, then they must have been the problem.

14. Oh please.
Rasheed was NOT blameless in what happened here.

Sure it was a bad fit all around, but the shit
he pulled made things worse.

15. Yep. It was Portland's fault
for giving a max contract to a guy who didn't deserve it.

You got one more game to go. I wonder which Rasheed will decide to show up?

17. You're welcome to him
Final stat line: 5-10 for 11 points (held to 1-3 for first three quarters) in 28 minutes, no FT attempted, 1 RB, 1 AST, 1 BLK, 2 STL, 5 fouls in a loss. Clearly, this is the standard all leaders should aspire to.

19. I just wish I could've watched him more than 28 minutes, though.
I mean, being a leader and all, you'd figure he'd play more than that in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, but I guess I just have to get used to the Sheed Standard of Leadership.
