Poll question: Who Is the Better Coach |
|
Who is a better coach Larry Brown or Phil Jackson? What are your reasons for your answer?
It is hard, but I think I have to go with Phil Jackson in that he has 9 championships. Larry Brown is good in that he has been able to bring more teams to the playoffs (7), but I think he has only won with one team. He is the only coach to win in both college and the NBA, but once again he has less championships than Jackson. I think it can be argued that Jackson has always had great teams, but you still have to give him credit for winning 9 championships with two different teams. So who do you think in a better coach Larry Brown or Phial Jackson?

He didn't blow a championship by going on job interviews during the playoffs and distracting his team.

Jackson has always had superstars. Larry Brown took the Clippers to the playoffs. Think about that. The Clippers. No one has done that.

Phil hasn't proven that he can build from scratch - Larry has done it more than once.
