The Yanks are coming
The Yanks finally sweep Tampa and pull with 1/5 game of the Indians and will likely be 1 1/2 games back of Boston and 1 in the loss column. This could be a great finish.

You still havent explained what you mean by backdoor. It doesnt matter when you get the wins, it matters who has the most at the end of the season.

Yah Randy argued balls and strikes like plenty of other players in the majors do all the time. And the ump went way overboard.

You know how the Yanks did last year, better than the Indians.

15. way better than the indians...
i would hope so for the money they spend, I was hinting at one of the biggest chokes in baseball history...guess you forgot that one. The backdoor is the wildcard. In case you can't tell, we don't think too highly of the yankees here in the midwest.

who have better things to do with thier time than hate another cities baseball team.

way better than the indians... i would hope so for the money they spend,

They spend the money they get like any other baseball team. Do you hate New York because its a bigger city than Cleveland? Im all for changing the rules to make teams more equitable, but to hate the Yankees because they happen to get more revenue than the Indians is a bit silly.

I was hinting at one of the biggest chokes in baseball history...guess you forgot that one.

You are a really bad guesser.

And Id rather choke in the playoffs than not make them. If we dont make the playoffs this year I will be more dissapointed than I was last year.

The backdoor is the wildcard. In case you can't tell,

Well besides the fact that the Yankees are vying for the devision as well as the wildcard, no I couldnt tell the wildcard was the backdoor because I dont know many baseball fans who degrade wild card teams.

I have nothing better to do than "hate other cities baseball teams"..what do you do, live in a cave? Come on Dude... your team is the most universally hated team ever...oh, does that bother you? It must, if you have nothing better to do than build elaborate posts deriding a poor indians fan.

So just because because other people do it, it makes it more reasonable?

And no, it isnt universally hated, it is really only hated by bitter fans of other teams. A vocal minority.

oh, does that bother you?
Not really. Certainly no where near as much as the Yankees bother you.

It must, if you have nothing better to do than build elaborate posts deriding a poor indians fan.

Im not sure what was elaborate about pointing out how silly it is to hate a baseball team nor pointing out that you are trying to play the victim while your team has a better record than the Yankees, which is pretty funny.

It takes me somwhere between 10 and 30 seconds for me to write a post. So Im really not sure what you are talking about.

18. Except that you are leading the Yanks in the wild card right now.
Hardly a farm team. You picked the wrong season to play victim.

14. and the ump was wrong
it was a horrid call and the ump was looking for trouble. That's not on Randy. But he doesn't run to a microphone to comment on every issue. So your right, he doesn't have the same amount of class as Schilling

6. I know it is exciting for you, I'm sorry
You have to understand though that the rest of us are sick of the Yankees by this time of the season.

We have teams too, but never get the attention all season long from the national media. Yankees Yankees Yankees.

But that being said, yes the race is exciting, if they can pull it off it will be fun to watch. Sorry for the rant.

7. I understand that
but the Cardinals won't get attention because they are too much better than everyone else in that division. The Yanks get all this attention because of the rivalry with the Red Sox. If the Cubs were any good, you guys would get a lot of attention. Plus ESPN is right in between the two cities, so that colors the coverage as well. But it really is the rivalry between Boston and NY. Those games have been epic the last three years.

5. "...and they're bringing hell with them!"
The Yanks have 3 games in Canada, then they are home for 7, then they have to travel to Baltimore with the big series in Boston to finish the season.

Boston has 3 more home games against Oakland, then they go to Tampa Bay & Baltimore, then they come home to face the Bluejays and Yanks.

The Indians plays KC at home, then the White Sox and KC on the road before finishing with 7 games at home against Tampa Bay and the White Sox.

Boston and the Indians have tougher opponents in the top echelon (Indians more so) than the Yankees. Could the Yanks still lose to O's or the Blue Jays? Of course but Oakland and Chicago are just much better teams. And the Indians have to play the Sox twice.

But both the Red Sox and Indians have their last 7 games at home.

This is gonna be great!
