Great news for Chad Pennington |
|
I was watching ESPN news and a reporter said Chad saw the specialist down in Alabama and it doesn't look like a career ender. In fact, they were saying he might not even be out for entire season, but the reporter said, and I agree, that he should sit out this year and get healthy.
The doctor told Chad to go and rehab for 10 days and then come back an get re-evaluated.
The biggest task the reporter said will be to save Chad from himself - hopefully he will take the whole year and come back next training camp.

1. I like Pennington and hope he takes the rest of the season off |

He doesn't have a great arm to begin with. Accurate and good touch, but not strong. So there's very little margin for error. He'll be out of the league unless he allows the shoulder to heal as close to 100% as possible. I'm guessing Pennington is in his late 20s, based on when he came out of Marshall. So he's got plenty of years ahead at the QB position and no need to rush back this season.
