From a Gator fan ==> Congrats Bama!
Edited on Sat Oct-01-05 06:21 PM by neoteric lefty
You were by FAR the best team on the field today. Every part of the Gator's game was just plain bad. No effort on the defensive side, except for Brandon Siler (#40). Our offensive line was just offensive today letting three- and four-man rushes get through almost every play. Leak looked confused by the zone defense of Bama's secondary. About a dozen dropped passes by our receivers. Nothing went right for us, today.Bama is a great team and definitely the best in the SEC at the moment. I hope we can turn it around and maybe we'll see you guys in December.

PS. Sorry to see Protho (sp?) go down with a broken ankle. He is defiantly a playmaker and will be missed for you guys.

4. Definitely; I've always been impressed by the Gator fans on DU
I should have emphasized that in my post in the thread regarding worst college fans.

My primary problems with Gator backers were always at Florida Field or nearby; circa late '60s to late '80s. At that point Florida dropped Miami from the schedule and I haven't been to a game at Gainesville since. So I can't comment on the behavior of fans there from the beginning of the Spurrier regime until now.

5. Well, hopefully UF and UM can make it fit
in a few years. I hope since they've added a 12th game at UF and that the ACC is split up into two divisions, then maybe the rivalry can start up again for good.

2. thanks!
I was in such a good mood until Prothro went down. Man that was a nasty injury! He obviously won't be back this year. I hope he recovers.
