Bulls deal Curry to Knicks
Tough call for Bulls. Curry hasa potentially fatal heart disease. Curry won't agree to DNA test to rule out this condition.

The Bulls agreed to trade center Eddy Curry to the New York Knicks on Monday, ending a contentious negotiation in which Chicago insisted the restricted free agent take a DNA test over a heart problem.
Chicago also sent veteran center Antonio Davis to the Knicks, who traded away forwards Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney and Jermaine Jackson. Several draft choices also changed hands in the deal, according to an executive in the Eastern Conference who spoke on condition of anonymity.

1. As a Bulls fan, I find this depressing.
The Bulls said they were willing to offer Curry $400,000.00 per year for the next FIFTY YEARS if the results of the test were bad. I really get the feeling they were looking out for HIS best interests (health wise), and he was too worried about a bigger payoff. Not that I can entirely blame him. I wish him the absolute best (health AND money-wise). But as a Bulls fan, I'm saddened.

2. Me too.
Hard to believe that Paxson would not be interested in Curry's best interest.

3. Knick-ite.here. Curry? Cool. Wish they would've kept Sweetney --

Hope Curry is healthy and that he has the sense to take care of himself. As far as Sweetny goes, I am bummed. he showed surges of brilliance and was just getting bettter. Deceptively agile, with good post moves, great hands and uncanny court sense under the basket. Shucks. I have no idea where the fck T. Thomas's game disappered to except that I know he had injuries and I think his pop passed. Can't get too excited about Antonio Davis.

4. Antonio's game is solid, if unspectacular
Provided Curry is healthy, The Knicks done good with this trade. Even if he isn't, it is worth the risk, and the ability to get rid of the logjam at the forward position.

6. wow, Isiah Thomas is dumb
This is a horrible trade for them. Taking a guy who could drop dead at any moment. What a brilliant move for a under-performing center who put up one descent half-year in his entire career.

12. Two cardiologists
Gave him a clean bill of health.

This is one of those situations where I really feel that there's no good guy or bad guy. I understand why the Bulls were doing what they were doing, but I also understand why Curry refused to take the test. Let's just all hope Eddy goes on to live a long and productive life

8. Right Call
At first when I read the title of your post I thought the Bulls had made a mistake. Then I read the post and realized they did the right thing. Curry should have been willing to take the test. If I were the owner of the Bulls I would not want to be responsible for Curry collasping on the court. I think the Knicks and Curry made a bad decision.

10. another bulls fan's opinion
On the Curry situation, he should have taken the test. We have already seen basketball players drop dead, we do not want that to be Eddie Curry also. He should have taken the test. If he fails, he lives the rest of his life as a very wealthy individual ($400k/yr for 50 years). If he passes, he goes on to a successful NBA career. What the Bulls offered him was more than fair to both sides.

As far as the trade goes, I hope Sweetney can play some D and give some low post offense. I dont like Tim Thomas as we have Deng and Noce at small forward. I expect him to get traded.

Chandler should blossom into a defensive monster. Not sure where the Bulls low post scoring will come from thou. The Bulls looked great with Curry down low last year.
