3. I switched up my Packer routine today
I stayed at home, didn't wear Packer gear, listened to the game on SIRIUS. Of course they won.

I think that's a bad thing. This Pack are as bad as any team they've put on the field since '72(when I was 7 and just started following them). I wouldn't mind the first pick next spring. Someone is going to want Leinert, desperately. We could parlay that 1st pick into help in the D front-7. I want A.J. Hawk. Barnett could move to WLB, where he belongs(frankly, he's a desperation placement at MLB). DL is a big concern, too.

As to the rest of the division, I think it's Detroit's to lose at this point. They should be 3-1 right now. The D is playing well and Garcia should be ready to go soon. Harrington needs to pull that pretty head out of his ass. The Bears are, well, the Bears. I don't know exactly whats wrong w/your Vikes, Stephist. It's probably Tice. I had them pegged to go to the Super Bowl. I still think trading Moss was a good move.

The division winner will lose at home to the Giants or Bucs.

4. I think
Whatever team has the best division record wins the division. I could probably make a case for all 4 teams winning the division. Heck, I'll do it right now.

Detroit: The defense is playing terrific, Garcia should be back soon and they've still got very good players at the skill positions on offense

Chicago: Probably has the best unit in the division which is there defense. That defense can pretty much always keep them in the game. In a division like this that could be enough to steal it.

Minnesota: Still the best team on paper in this division. If they can get there defense healthy and Mike Tice gets control of this team again, they could make some noise

Green Bay: Two words Brett Favre. Over the last 6 quarters the Packers have played phenomenal football. It'll be interesting to see what team we see in 2 weeks in Minnesota.

5. The Packers are nowhere near as bad as they were in the 80s.
This one is being ravaged by injuries, and are a .500 squad (in this division).

I will not be surprised if they end up 9-7, but if they keep getting hit by injuries, they still will not be as bad as the 80's before Majikowski.

6. Yeah...
...I don't understand why everyone thinks the Packers are so goddamn awful. I'm not a fan, this is just an objective observation.

They could so easily be 4-1 right now. They lost 3 of their games by a combined total of 6 pts - to the Bucs, Browns, and Panthers. People can say what they want about the Browns, but they're not as bad as everyone thinks they are, and the other two are pretty good teams. So what if they were 4-1 right now? What would both fans and pundits be saying about them? I wonder.
