Party attended by Vikings players under investigation for lewd acts
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/football/nfl/wires/10/12/2020.ap.fbn.vikings.investigation.0387/index.html

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Investigators are looking into a party attended by several Minnesota Vikings players that allegedly involved drunkenness, nudity and visible sexual activity on a pair of charter cruises last week.

Also, acording to profootballtalk.com, the Feds might be getting involved since the players brought some of the "entertainment" in from Atlanta, and Florida.

Acting more like Saudi Arabian sheiks than a bunch of young guys full of booze and testosterone, the folks responsible for the S.S. Love Sponge reportedly flew in the, um, entertainment from Atlanta, Florida, and elsewhere. According to The Pioneer Press, the females hired for the Gold Club on the Lake work for a high-class escort or call-girl service that caters to professional athletes.

And this is where the feds come in.

Title 18, Section 2421 of the United States Code states as follows:

"Whoever knowingly transports any individual in interstate or foreign commerce, or in any Territory or Possession of the United States, with intent that such individual engage in prostitution, or in any sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both."

This is getting interesting!

1. Saudi Arabian sheiks vs young guys full of booze
... testosterone.

Is there a discernible difference?

4. What did they think would happen?
1) Get a bunch of guys together, most of them in their 20s.

2) Take them literally from rags to riches, giving each of them millions of dollars

3) Along with that cash, make sure they have plenty of downtime to get into trouble

What the hell do you think is gonna happen? You think they're all gonna start a Bible study group or something?

5. Were these not consenting adults?
So they are going to pursue charges because a hooker was transported over state lines. I guess this story will have to do until another white girl is missing. I should be glad the world is in such good shape that we have nothing else to worry about.

What about the press corps on Air Force One? They are being transported for the purpose of prostitution.

Folks!!! This is a possible violation of the Mann Act. This was the same law the Feds tried to nail Jack Johnson with for transporting a white woman across state lines. This woman turned out to be Jack Johnson's wife. Earlier this evening, I caught part of the show "Pardon the Interruption" with Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon. When the Vikings topic came up, they show the team's owner at a news conference about family values. Frankly, he should be more worried about his players who put the organization in a very bad light. Unfortunately, the Vikings are not playing that well.
