Tech fans have been hanging around the Nebraska boards for the last two weeks and I swear they are the absolute scum of the earth.

Please Horns 59-14 next week.

1. I understand your frustration

I'm a Canes fan and belong to Miami forums. After the '02 Fiesta Bowl, Buckeye fans felt compelled to bombard our message boards for at least two years. I guess the victory and national championship wasn't enough and they felt indignant that the outcome was questioned due to the late pass interference call during the first overtime. So they decided to disrupt our boards for no reason and no productive input. It was beyond sickening when I'd log in and see one taunting thread after another started by BuckeyeFred, or whatever.

I remember that Tech/Nebraska game. Fluke finish, after Nebraska intercepted the game winner with one minute remaining but the lineman fumbled it back to Tech. You would think the Red Raider fans would understand their good fortune and just shut up.

2. Texas Tech fans.

When I was in college at OU I worked the stretcher teams at the football games. Partly because it was great community service and partly because we would get 50 yard line seats in the front row for free. Anyhow, the Texas Tech fans were , by far, the worse of any team that ever came through Memorial Stadium. I'm not saying all were bad but the majority (60% to 70%) were just God awful people. I remember one grown man, around 35ish, calling, actually yelling at a 10ish year old kid that he was a 'dumba$$ okie' after a game.

In 2000 Texas Tech fans almost started a riot as they threw stuff on the field after the game as fans started out. It turned ugly there for a bit. I remember that the OU and Norman police hauled at least 30 or 40 out of the Texas Tech end and took them away. We had to treat a few people. Luckily they weren't major injuries.

4. You know, I wasn't talking trash

'til you called me a name. I have the highest respect for NU as well as for UT.(in fact, one of my degrees is from UT) Next weeks game will be a highlight for both squads. Don't count the Raiders out, though. If I were a betting man, I would pass on this one.

if some one said nebraskan's are half-assed back-words politically I would say amen even though I am a Nebraskan because I know in general the statement is true. The Tech fans I have experienced are horrible fans maybe you are not.

One more thing our difference of opinion is on the sports world in the political world I've got your back count on it. :)
