I knew when Jason Marquis relieved Jeff Suppan that it would be over |
|
Suppan should have carried on. We need to get rid of Marquis, Thompson and Flores because they're crap, and I've noticed that every time any one of them get in on the action we always lose. They obviously jinx us.
End of message.

Heck, I feel COMPLETELY sick :( And LaRussa and Edmonds arguing with the umpire doesn't help anyone.
Carpenter, Mulder, Suppan and Morris, we should be using ONLY these four from now on, and I don't care if any of them have even a tiny injury, they get paid enough money to play and so they should play.
This is a very depressing situation for us Card's fans. I don't want to give up hope, but as I commented, it's going to take a miracle.

3. I thought that the arguing balls and strikes |
|
and getting thrown out of the game for it was completely a loss of composure for LaRussa (and even moreso for Edmonds).
And I don't think I've ever seen that happen before.

4. I think the umpires give a little slack in the playoffs. |
|
I'd have been bitching and moaning too. Hell I WAS! I'm frustrated and pissed off! I can only imagine how LaRussa and Edmonds feel.

I think they should have argued the calls. If an umpire's mistake is going to cost you a game you should argue the call.

6. That ump's strike zone confused me. |
|
Marquis throws what is called ball 4, and Edmonds gets called out. Both pitches looked the same to me.
Cardinals still had a chance though...nice defense by Houston.

Tavarez and King are the real sore spots in the bullpen. Also note that Brad Thompson has not lost a game all year.
The umpires and the offense were terrible. If we lose this series, it won't be because of our pitching.

8. I agree with you about Ray King certainly |
|
But I have to stick with my opinion that Carpenter, Morris, Mulder and Suppan are our only good pitchers.
No matter what, shouting and getting in the face of umpires doesn't solve the problem.
