4. The Giants Got Full of Themselves for the San Diego Game

based on blowouts of Arizona and New Orleans. The same thing happened to the Redskins last week.

Having Antonio Pierce available to read the Redskin defenses helped the Giants a lot. The Skins' defense apparently uses certain keys in the formation to diagnose and get the jump on opponents' plays. On the first play of the game, the Giants showed a formation they normally used for a typical sweep right. But Tiki Barber cut left and ran for 57 yards. That pretty much set the tone for the day.
