My prediction: Culpepper out for the year
Legs don't fold like that without something bad having happened. Torn (something in the knee), out for season, and Minnesota may well have just won the Reggie Bush sweepstakes.

1. Sounds like it. He was playing with it injured already I'm not surprised.

6. I thought more McGahee than Roethlisberger on that hit.
The shot Willis McGahee took in the BCS Championship game against Ohio State his last year in college, specifically, the way his leg folded in. Culpepper wasn't quite so bad off immediately, but there was definitely more "violence" about the way Culpepper's leg snapped than Roethlisberger, though I am surprised Big Ben is playing right now.

3. what's his incentive to return early?
not much. even if it's not an ACL, if this is a four-six week injury, the Vikes should rest him the rest of the year, make sure he's ready to go next year, don't risk another injury coming back to this crappy season.

5. No resistance in the knee = torn ACL
It was reported in our local media that Culpepper had no resistance in his knee.

This season has been over for the Vikings since week 1.

But the draft picks will be awesome.

9. KFAN
PA and Dubay were talking about it on Tuesday, they are saying that it could be possible that he wouldn't be ready to play til at least Nov of '06, and it is possible not until the start of the '07 season, and even then there is a good chance he will not be the same.

11. It is more than just the ACL
so ALL the tendons are torn. I guess we need to use our high draft pick to go after a top quarterback.
