I'm far from being a Raiders fan, but Norv Turner pissed that game.... |
|
...away. That last drive on the goal line had to be one of the most unimaginative drives I've ever seen. They didn't even put some WR's in at any point on that drive, and, basically, played out of the same formation every down. Even Randy Moss tried to run out on the field, probably trying to give Norv Turner a hint. Pathetic.

1. Not a Raiders fan either, but it's clear who the problem is |
|
with the team. Kerry Collins had a great game--hope they keep him and dump Turner.

7. Kerry Collins puts up great numbers, but he makes bad plays at the WORST |
|
times.
Not that the goal line deal was his fault, but he just finds a way to screw up a game.
His release is so slow and he doesn't feel the pressure very well, so he often fumbles the ball (or incomplete) when the defense gets right around him.
He had great numbers, but I remember at least bad 4 plays that probably cost them the game that don't show up in the stats.

And his brother was head coach at the University of Illinois for a while too. Neither man has had a stellar head coaching career.

4. Both Turner AND Collins have to go..... |
|
Collins had maybe 2 or 3 good games all year. He's only slightly more successful than Jeff George was for the Raiders. Yes, I know a lot of it has to do with Turner, but the fact is he's not a winning quarterback. At least if they got Culpepper he might be able to get the ball to Moss a lot more often - he did in Minnesota. When your season is already in the crapper, give Tuisasopo a chance to prove himself, otherwise why bother keeping him.
