2. i liked him when he coached the jets
of course, we got rid of him to bring in Rich Kotite. THAT was an awesome move. :eyes:

What a nightmare that was. As good a college coach as he is, that's how bad he was as a pro coach.

7. I thought he had a bit of a raw deal with the patriots
not that i blame them for firing him, really, since the team record got progressively worse, but he made the playoffs two out of three years and while his last season was pretty disapointing, he did have ernie zampese as offensive coordinator to contend with ... his jets record was bad, but piloting the NYJ to a mediocre finish hardly makes him exceptional :)
