2. Not a bit. Same old Colts.
Punch them in the nose, and they curl up in a little ball and beg for mercy.

No fight, no heart, no desire. But, at least they ran up some nice regular season stats--which is all that team is ever good for.

3. It does seem that way, doesn't it?
If you rattle Manning early on and keep even marginal pressure on him afterwards, pretty much any good team can beat them.

I think they underestimated the Steelers, and Pittsburgh is giving them a run for their money (even if they do ultimately lose). It'll be an interesting second half!

4. True, it does look that way....
...but I don't know if 14 points is enough for them--the Steelers offense has to put some more points up there.

6. No, they won't. Indianpolis's offense is a bunch of pansies.
They're already begging for mercy and looking forward to reading their regular season stats in the comfort of their living room.

8. Well, more points are always a good idea.
Btw, did you see Dungy send the punting unit out there?

Cowardly.

9. Sad to say, no, as I've got the telelvision on and am putzing
around as well, and also surfing. I don't really care who wins it all this year, but was worried the Colts just might have done it! One thing that really gets me is that they're losing, Peyton sucks, but there's NO snow!

5. The steelers have dominated
although if it weren't for a false start penalty on 3rd and goal from about six inches out, it would probably be a 14-7 game :)

12. Me Too
I thought I would be the only one here who is shocked, but I am. I thought for sure the Colts would win the game. Like you I walked into my apartment and the tv was on and I saw the last kick. I was shocked.

13. That's when I tuned it in, too,.
I knew he was toast when they talked about his outstanding field goal record.

I'm sorry -- as an old Oilers fan, I can't root for the Steelers, so it's the Broncos or the NFC champs for me in the Super Bowl. :)

15. Old Oilers fans unite against the Steelers!
However, the Steelers deserved that win today.

20. I thought they'd at least make it through the first round, and after the
Pats lost last night, I was sure they were going to win next weekend also! I just figured the Pats were the big monkey on their backs--always losing to them in the play-offs. Apparently they have more than one monkey, and the point about Manning running the team is well taken.

14. What said it all in this game
Was when Dungy wanted to punt the ball and manning overruled him and went for it on fourth down. The Colts ended up with a touchdown because of it, but it points to something I have long suspected about the Colts and Manning: that as much as they say they respect their coach, manning thinks he runs the team (and Dungy allows it) *and* that Manning is much more in love with himself as a player than he is in love with his team.

16. Manning was right. The real problem is that Dungy is a manager
not a leader. Always plays it safe.

Manning or Dungy in the playoffs.

The question, to my mind, isn't whether Manning was right--that's debatable and I could agree with either side--but whether he is coachable. If the coach is Dungy, the answer is obviously not.

He enjoys his stats--and being "right"--more than he wants post season victories. His career record, unlike Tom Brady's, Donovan McNabb's, etc., shows this.

18. Nope.
Colts are way overrated, overreported, and generally suck.

Yeah, I live in Indy.

21. Even Shannon Sharpe admitted that the the officiating was horrible.
He said it would have been "highway robbery" if the Colts would have won. Troy Polamaolu clearly had an interception.

Go Steelers!:)

23. I'm not .
It's the MO for Manning, IMHO. He's a great quarterback when he's got time to pass and find open receivers. But as with big games at Tennessee (they never won an SEC title with Manning at the helm), his lack of mobility is his achilles heel. If a defense gets enough pressure on him and he has to find time to find a receiver, he is not as accurate.

If he has time to stand in the pocket and scan the field, he is deadly; if he is flushed out or hurried, he is useless.
