Kris Benson was traded to the Orioles on Saturday in an exchange that imports right-handed reliever Jorge Julio -- formerly the Orioles' closer -- and a right-handed starting pitcher with a modest big-league resume, John Maine.

Personally I am quite happy about this trade. Benson was a solid pitcher but we needed some more bullpen help and this Julio guy looks like he's pretty good, and we get rid of Mrs. Benson...that woman really got on my nerves
