Advice to Gamblers--please note that I predicted a Seattle--Pitt Super
Bowl.

You can check on Yavin's Offical Super Bowl Prediction Thread--I was the first to respond and went with these two.

Why?

I said gut reaction, and I mean it. But one of the reasons I picked Seattle is that they were flying under the radar--they had the best NFC record, and the media was all about Carolina.

This means the Super Bowl be won according to two criteria: coaching and mental attitude. Seattle was able to win and play well yesterday because the media was not focusing on them (well, maybe in their hometown they were), but the storyline was Carolina. If the collective media decides that THE storyline is Pittsburgh, then watch out--Seattle will win. Never underestimate how wrong the media can be, but also, how much of a distraction what they say and write can be to a team. If they start writing and focusing on certain aspects, the players themselves are only human, and start believing it. The more isolated a team is, the better they'll play. Of course, in this age of media glut, isolated is a very relative term.

Anyway, I went with Seattle winning it all--I still sort of feel that way, but if you want to make a sure bet (sarcasm intended) check back in a week when I will make my official wager.
