Monday Night Football: Mike Tirico, Joe Theisman and Tony Kornheiser
With Michelle Tafoya and Suzy Kolber working the sidelines.

Love Tirico, love Kornheiser, not so excited about Theisman.

The lineup was just announced on ESPN Radio.

1. Kornheiser, eh?
That should be interesting - has he done something like this before?

2. too many!
Get rid of Theismann and Tafoya and it's a good setup.

Three men in the booth is just irritating, especially when one of them is Joe Theismann.

11. No kidding.
Adding the sideline reporter was one of the smartest moves made by NFL broadcasters. Suzy Kolber, Bonnie Bernstein, *sigh*.

4. Get rid of Theisman!
Opinionated asshat. Don't know about Kornheiser as an announcer, though he is pretty funny on Pardon the Interruption.

5. Riggins is the guy they should use. I HATE the sidelines reporters.
They're awkward and lousy no matter who does them.

7. I think it's great. Kornheiser will balance out Theisman, and Suzy and..
...Michelle are both excellent sideline reporters, who know their business. Sounds like the best crew in a long time for MNF.

8. I was really hoping they would get rid of Theismann.
I can't stand him.

9. It was Monday Night Football that ended Thiesman's career, remember?
Edited on Fri Feb-10-06 05:17 PM by rocknation
I can still remember the way his knee bent--except that it wasn't his knee. Lawrence Taylor, who made the hit, immediately jumped up and called for medical help, was never quite the same after that, either.

10. Congrats to Mike Tirico!!
He's the most professional and hardest working guy at ESPN. He'll call the British Open and the Boise/Idaho state game on a Thursday night, equally well. Congrats! Nice to see hard work and dedication pay off.

12. I agree.
Tirico will make a fine play-by-play man. He has been excellent on the college games I've watched him call. This will be far, far better than loudmouth freeper Al Michaels.
