Is he really that good of a football player? Maybe it is that I did not pay attention to football enough, but I have never hear of Bloom. I do not watch Colorado football.

I don't see him being a star in the NFL. In college he was an OK receiver but really excelled returning kicks. I think he returned a punt for a touchdown in the Big 12 championship game in 2002 against the sooners. He never put up huge numbers as a receiver, and he's small for an NFL receiver. (Some people counter that Steve Smith is small too, but I don't see Bloom being the next Steve Smith.)
I could see him making the NFL as a return specialist and an occasional returner, something like Tim Dwight or Wes Welker.

2. Living in Denver, heard a lot about him because of his lawsuit against |
|
the NCAA, which he lost. It dragged on forever. Anyway, doubt we'll hear of him much IF he makes it into the NFL.
My two cents--should have concentrated on the moguls--that's where his talent is, but he had too much on his plate, believing (incorrectly) he had too many opportunities.

3. He really got screwed over by the all powerful NCAA |
|
They basically said (if I am not mistaken) that he could give them all the money he made from skiing before and after he played football as a WALK-ON to begin with OR he couldn't play.
Ridiculous.

4. I sort of ignored the lawsuit--which was hard to do since it was always |
|
front page news...but yeah, he did lose big time.
