Aamodt of Norway of Norway, Gold Herman Meir, Austria Silver Hoffman of Switzerland, Bronze Erik Guay of Canada had a great run and finished 4th
Not a good day for the Americans:
Daron Rahlves finished 9th Bode Miller had a spectacular DNF Scott McCartney finished 7th (I think)

As a bode fan, I'm OK with it. He's always had a huge number of DNF's. That's what happens when you ski on the edge of chaos. He had a spectacular skid out, but unbelievably, didn't fall. I've never seen anything quite like it, even from bode. Think he's a putz for doing things his way? Some putz, he won the world cup last year. First american to do it in 22 years. Yeah, that's the mark of a real loser.

not doing well...courted the media prior to the games, refuses to talk to them after he doesn't do well. He's a classic alcoholic--needs to really get his shit together because in a few years he won't be able to stand up the way he's going.
