Randy Moss "moons" the crowd -- FAUX announcers |
|
pretend to be "outraged."
"We're so sorry he did that on our air."
Oh, like FAUX doesn't do raunchy every day.
I swear, the guy sounded like a 19th Century prude. "I've never seen such a thing in all my life. I'm going to have vapors now."
I was rotflmao.

Probably did worse than that the previous night at the bar...who are we kidding. Looks all nice and clean on the air, but I am sure it is just an "image".

3. It was classless, but it wasn't all that they will hype it into |
|
They'll blow it up only because they want news. News would be that Vikes actually played a decent game!

Moss didn't acutally moon the fans. He mimicked pulling down his pants and waggled his butt at them. I saw in because it got some play on the local news here, but was mostly written off as just another tacky act by Randy Moss. Really, his walking off the field and heading to the locker room last week with time left in the game was worse.

5. Fox: the people who brought us "Who's your Daddy" . . . |
|
probably ought to save the moral indignation for another day.
having said that, I thought it was another brainless -- and therefore perfectly in character -- stunt by a brainless, classless lout.

7. I missed what Moss actually did... |
|
but then I heard the announcers going off like he had sex with the goal post or something.
Then I found out what he really did.
I wish Fox would lose all their sports contracts...

I was watching, too, but the announcers were carrying on so, I replayed it on my DVR to see what they were griping about.
BIG DEAL!!
Yes, it was rude but they called more attention to it with their histrionics than was warranted.

Hey, Moss is no angel, and yeah, he has pulled some stupid stunts, but this is coming from the network that brought us "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire" as well as breaking ground in raunchy TV routinely.
Buck & Collinsworth called way too many Vikings games this year and routinely loved to slam them. With the Vikes winning the game, they had to find SOME way to knock them down.

11. Joe Buck is an idiot. |
|
The way he carried on about Randy's faux mooning, you would have thought the guy went into the stands and groped someone.
Disrespectful? Yes. End of civilization as we know it? NO.

I believe his words equate to calling it disrespectful, but he didn't say anything about it bringing the end of civilization.

Are you freakin' kidding me? If Buck didn't make such a big deal out of it and shriek like he was the leader of the morality squad, not one person would have even remembered that the incident happened.
His language made it sound like Moss exposed his genitals, not mimed the act of mooning the crowd.
This is just another bullshit incident that the media will sensationalize until everyone grows tired of it.

Buck over-reacted slightly. But the over-reaction to his fairly mundane statements on these DU boards are definitely beyond the pale.
It certainly seems like posters here and elsewhere are sensationalizing this incident far beyond anything the media has attempted. I think it's time some folks looked in the mirror before simply blaming somebody else.

|
Buck seriously over-reacted. From the time Moss celebrated until the commercial break, Buck had nothing to say but how vulgar Moss's actions were.
And if you think there hasn't been any media sensationalization, you haven't read any sports news, either. Instead of talking about the Vikings' upset of the Packers, all the talk is about Randy's celebration.

13. Buck over-reacted, but... |
|
However, his over-reaction doesn't touch the over-reaction hear at DU in regard to his over-reaction.
You'd think Buck's statements would be the cause of the end of civilization, to use some of the language being used here to bash the dufus.
