Knicks Trade For Steve Francis (No, Seriously) |
|
The Knicks traded the expiring contract of Penny Hardaway, plus Trevor Arriza for the bloated, malcontented shooting guard in a point guard's body - Steve Francis.
Unbelievably, the Knicks added more money on to an already bloated salary cap situation.
Isiah Thomas is my favorite GM in the league, I'm just glad he's not MY GM.

6. Always glad to see the Knicks flounder |
|
Sorry, Dave.
But look at their roster:
Eddy Curry Jamal Crawford Steve Francis Jalen Rose Stephon Marbury
Isiah needs to stop playing EASports, because while this is an awesome lineup for NBA06, it is a bloated ridiculous roster of no defense, shoot-aholics...

2. There had better be another deal tomorrow. |
|
Why in the hell would you trade an expiring contract? Why in the hell would you trade for a guy who is hard to deal with, AND who plays the same position as Stephon Marbury (speaking of hard to deal with)? There HAS to be another deal coming...has to. I don't give two shits about the Knicks, but if there's a worse run franchise in pro sports, I don't know who it is. Even the CLIPPERS are better...the CLIPPERS!!

3. I'm a Knicks fan as well |

And I have to say that Isiah's idiocy never ceases to amaze. Why this guy still has a job is simply beyond me. Poor Larry Brown -- I actually like the guy, even if he's flighty -- I think he had no idea what he was getting into. And the Knicks have good rookies -- Channing Frye in particular -- who are being denied the chance to develop in a stable environment.
Stevie Franchise and Steph in the same backcourt? Gimme a break.

Being a knick fan presents some difficulties. It's rare to see them trade for someone who isn't seriously injured and close to retirement. Thus I cling to the hope that this will result in another Clyde and Pearl show ...... Waiter! Make that two!

this is going to result in about a month's worth of good play, then degenerate into a huge mess when everyone stops playing nice and starts wanting the ball.
I give the Knicks about 10 good games together, then the bottom falls out.
