1. I can't see anyway the Jets beat them with a sore armed QB |
|
I love Chad but I just can't see that happening. The Steelers have a Super Bowl ring sitting right in front of them.

2. With many of the Steelers starters rested and |
|
Cowher actually preparing them during the bye week, I would say it is the Steelers' game to lose. Hard to defeat a team that has third and fourth string players that get named player of the week.
Shame I will likely miss the game.

3. Jets CAN win. Score early and often and take the Bus out of it. |
|
That said, I wouldn't bet against the Steelers.

4. I'm hoping Cowher can break his jinx. |
|
Even when his teams have done well in the regular season, they've given away the AFC championship game.
The Steelers have a lot of talent this year. Many players have stepped up and performed well despite many injuries. "Big Ben" is playing well and has huge upside potential. I'm cautiously optimistic
I have my terrible towel and other gear ready to go. I'll be in front of the set. I'm not sure if I can tune in Myron over the net, but if so, I will. Mmm Hahh! Yoi!
Here we Go Steelers!

I'm ready for "One For The Thumb".
Ever the faithful Stiller fan, I'll be with them win or lose but a win is highly preferable!
Good to hear from a fellow Burgher..Go work your magic.
PS. I can't wait a hundred years like the Sox!

10. I usually like the Steelers, |
|
but there is an insufferable asshole who likes them in my office. He was even talking smack to a Bears fan (come on now, have some pity).
Fuck him, that bastard. Making me hope they don't win, even with Cowher (from NC State, I might add). I just can't stomach his gloating shit.

11. I would much rather be playing the Jets right now than the Colts. |
|
I am still hearing a few people still debating whether the Chargers would of been a "better match up" for us in the first round of the playoffs....
Look at it this way Steeler fans...if the Steelers didn't beat the Pats during the regular season...we would all be debating how we can stop Manning and the Colts offense....Now pick your poison..
Based on this........we got the team that we WANT for the first round playoff game...
Don't forget by us beating Buffalo in a "means nothing" game that put the Jets into the playoffs.
We put them in...now we get to take them out!

12. Can't see the Jets winning unfortunately. |
|
Third straight road game is a tough situation in itself but going against a bye team after winning on the road in the wildcard round almost always spells doom. I'd like to see it but I don't think there is any way the Jets win barring a miracle or total collapse by Pittsburgh.

Their win against the Chargers wasn't all that impressive to begin with. Almost losing it due to a foolish foul, and only winning it after the Chargers miss a field goal attempt, they pretty much squeeked by with a victory there. In my opinion they were lucky against the Chargers, they will need like you said a miracle on their side for a win against Pittsburgh.
Steelers are moving on to face the Colts/Pats (That I haven't made my mind up on yet)

15. Coming off two straight must-win road OT games |
|
At some point, your brain would have to short-circuit in that situation, don't you think?
This is a 15-day span for the Jets:
1. Fly to St. Louis. 2. Play five quarters in a must-win game. 3. Lose in OT to an average team. 4. Fly back to New York. 5. Spend a week hearing about how Pennington can't throw downfield. 6. Fly 3000 miles to San Diego. 7. Play five quarters in a must-win game. 8. Nearly blow the game twice and somehow pull out a win. 9. Fly back to New York. 10. Spend another week dealing with the NY media. 11. Fly to Pittsburgh to play the best team in the league.
Here is the Steeler's last two weeks: 1. Jump over Lake Erie to play Buffalo in a meaningless game for them. 2. The starters have fun as Willie Parker and Brian St. Pierre lead the backups to victory over the hottest team in the league. 3. Chill out for two weeks, getting healthy. 4. Watch some football on tv. 5. Drive to the stadium to play a team they beat a month ago.

16. Pretty damn accurate... |
|
I would be much more concerned as a Steelers fan if San Diego was coming to town this weekend...
