(Except the Eagles.) Just thought I'd go on record and stir the bottle just a wee bit. Go ahead just try to contradict that thought.

2. Reply to OP and First Responder

To the OP: even though I would be happy if the Saints would beat all the team in the NFL I am not sure they will do it. I am not sure Drew Brees will be that good of a quarterback now that he has had the major arm injury. Reggie Bush will not be able to carry the team by himself. I know they have Duce McAllister, but just Reggie and Duce cannot make the team win. I hope they win many game, especially the game against the Texans.

To the First Responder: you have to remember that the Saints did not have a really good team last year. With the exception of Drew Brees the team is much better after the draft. If Brees can have a good year like his last two in San Diego then the Saints should have a really good year. In addition, if both Reggie Bush and Duce McAllister have good/great years than the team should win a number of games. However, I am not sure they will beat everyone except the Eagles.

4. Problem More Benson than Graveyard
I contend the problem with the team losing is more Benson not willing to pay for good player until this point. Lets look at the player he has gotten in the last few years. Just looking at quarterback you can see that he mainly got players seemed to be not wanted by any other team. Some of them were somewhat nice, but they were not good quarterbacks. Aaron Brooks was about the best in the last few years and that may same more about the lack of talent in the previous quarterbacks than Aaron Brooks' talent. I understand some people who are Saints fans like Joe Horn, but I do not think he is all that great. I think Benson could have paid more money and gotten a better player. I think the team could be good this year but if Benson paid the money and had the team overhauled in a major way this team could be great.

I just want to point out that I am not for the high pay of athletes, but that is the way things are. Benson should just pay the money and try to make the team competetive.
