I'm a Brazil fan but I've got a bad feeling about this game. Ghana has been tough.

Ronaldo could have had his second if he had gotten an easy pass.

Adriano knees the ball in from a cross on a counterattack. He was clearly in an offside position without a doubt, terrible, terrible, terrible call by the linesman. Terrible. Ghana has played well and it's a shame they go down 2 because of this travesty of a call.

4. While I usually love to watch Brazil's artistry, I was very disappointed. |
|
Emblematic of my disappointment was the appalling dive by the Brazillian player in the Ghana box. Why the ref didn't flag that one is beyond me. While Brazil can and does play a 'physical' game, they came off as brutish hypocrites in this match. Clearly, they over-powered Ghana - they didn't have to resort to the hypocrisy of Drama Queens. But they did.

Extremely disappointed by the way they played but I guess that Ghana was just so much worse. The way they played offside, the way they tried to score..it was painful to watch.
I have a question for Brazilians though. Are games like these ok meaning that only the result matters? I always wondered about that because they could actually play much better but choose the more effective way (with more success). I'm just not a fan of that kind of play and honestly don't want them to win the title again.

6. I thought Ghana played very well, I was again impressed |

they couldn't get the end result, but they played with heart and pride. They actually attacked and didn't bunker like most teams in that position would do. IMO, they outplayed Brazil for stretches of the game, but Brazil got lucky a few times and Ghana just couldn't make their play count.
Their offside trap worked on the Adriano "goal", but the linesman didn't call the clear offside. With the Ronaldo goal, that was just an early mistake by the defense, and Ghana weren't settled in. With the Ze Roberto goal, that was just a case of them pushing up a ton because they were 2 down, which is admirable.
Well, for all the hype that the wonderful Brazilians got, they are turning out very bland, England-like performances. They are really lost, and I think they should stop congratulating themselves on how great they think they are and start to play the game well.

7. Agreed. The failure to call the clear offside had my jaw drop. |
|
I thought Ghana played relatively well .... and are the LEAST disappointing team in the WC. I mostly loved Brazil's play in the group play, but this performance just wasn't worthy of what they can do.

Yeah ok, I think I was a bit unfair, maybe because I put so much hope in them. I actually liked them in the first half, the second one was just depressive because of the way Ghana used their chances. Besides that, they are a joy to watch like most African teams. Plus, they never give up. And it's true that one shouldn't forget the offside goal that decided the game.
