I just heard a story about how some of the professional athletes do not do their jobs even though they are paid so much money. I just think it is crazy that these athletes get paid so much and then do not show up for work and when they do they show up late. If someone is paying you that much money you should come to work and be there on time.

I just thought DU was still a place were people could write their opinions. I heard a story and I decided to write about. If that upsets you than too bad. With a response like yours maybe you should be asking yourself if you are 12.

i am interested as to why this story you "heard" (unlinked, unsnipped, unsourced) was news to you. pro sports players have been dogging it since pete rose got the first free agent contract over a million a year. that was 1978 i think.
lazy, prima donna, egocentric narcissists are the NORM in pro sports. it is the consciencious, thoughtful, hard working players that are the exception.
