How can anyone dis my dookies anymore as a few hot perimeter shooters on a roll? That entire second half - Duke just rolling in the points from the paint. That was gorgeous basketball. And the fact that it was the unknowns and Sheldon out there doing it... jeebus. What a fantastic basketball game!

3. I feel good about this year's team... |
|
I know the season is just getting started but they have shown me that anyone can be a primetime player. I expect big things from them come tourney time

4. N.C. State lost that game. |
|
Duke didn't win it. When State was ahead they played like they were behind and vice-versa. I've about had it with Sendek AND Hodge.
Yeah, I'm a Wolfpacker and I'm pissed!
P.S. Nobody will beat Carolina this year and that really hurts to write.

5. I agree with you from what I saw |
|
NC State was playing fine, then it was almost like they could see the finish line and stopped playing. Give credit to Duke, they kept fighting and gave themselves the chance to get back in it, but NC State gave them plenty of help.

Sendek's good. If he keeps on top of State's program, they could potentially be the powerhouse they were in the mid-80s, just on fundamental (read: mostly boring) basketball. Don't get me wrong... Sendek's no Jimmy V. There's no coach today as exciting as he was. But Herb's done alright by this State team, especially last year. And Hodge... jeebus hep him, I like Hodge alright. The bug-eyed freak. He'll get back to the way he was playing last year before he hits the NBA. And when he does, he won't do stupid things like swinging the ball at an opponent as a weapon anymore.
And DEFINITELY don't say neither team can beat the tarholes this year. They're good, but they're not GREAT. I'm pretty sure Duke will take 'em in one out of two. Get 'em a few losses under their belts, and they'll turn into the whiny baby, fit-throwin', asshats those teams always are, and lose some more.

7. Santa Clara anyone???? |
|
carolina is beatable; you need to stop their running game, play a mostly half court game, stop the penetration and use great defense. It can be done.

:P ;)
Sendek can't coach his way out of a paper bag if he had scissors. He's lost Hodge (I heard some things from around campus). He can't coach offense to save his life (the year they did great with the Princeton offense, the assistant was the mastermind).
WHY DID HE SLOW THEM DOWN???? :grr:
