NFL team announces alert system to combat misbehavior at games |
|
The Cinci Bangals are instituting a system this fall where fans can call a hotline from their cell phone to alert security if other fans are getting out of control. On the one hand I can understand this service could be beneficial if a fight breaks out in the stands but is this about safety or is it really a public relations ploy? I would hate to see the system overrun by situations involving swear words and result in security overlooking something more serious.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how this system plays out. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-bengals-unrulyfans&prov=ap&type=lgns>

but given the recent history there, perhaps a system to keep tabs on players would be more effective?
