Cubs CEO and president Andy MacPhail just announced his resignation. This is great news for Cub fans. The Cubs have won two divisional titles in MacPhail's tenure and have not advanced to the World Series and probably won't for a few more years. The farm system stinks, the coaching staff stinks, the front office stinks, and it is high time for MacPhail to go. He needs to take Hendry and Baker with him.

1. Looks like Hendry will survive |

"John McDonough, Cubs senior vice president of marketing and broadcasting, will serve as interim president. Jim Hendry will continue as general manager, in charge of all baseball operations. An announcement involving Dusty Baker is expected on Monday."
Dusty ain't gonna make it.
Felipe Alou is probably gonna retire unless the Marlins hire him; he really wants to go home to the Dominican. Maybe the Cubs will hire Frank Robinson...?

It is rumored that he and Loria, the owner of the Marlins don't get along and since Loria has the cash, guess who goes? I say GREAT! We want a young dynamic type manager like Joe Girardi. Robinson is a HoFer as a player, but the Cubs really do not need another washed up old guy as skipper.
