Matt Leinart to stay at USC!!!!!!!! Won't Turn Pro!
Go to www.msnbc.com

Couldn't get the damn link to the article. My opinion of Matt just went up quite a bit.

LOS ANGELES - Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart will be back for his senior season at Southern California and try to lead the Trojans to an unprecedented third straight national championship.

The USC quarterback announced his decision Friday, opting to complete his eligibility rather than enter the NFL draft, where he figured to be one of the top selections and become an instant millionaire.

“I realized the opportunity right now to support my family by going to the NFL early, but to me I think college football and this whole atmosphere here and being with my fans and my teammates ... is ultimately more satisfying and will make me happier than any amount of money could make someone happy,” he said.

There was a roar of approval from a crowd of about 500 students and fans jammed into the foyer at Heritage Hall to hear Leinart’s decision.

“OK, so I’m smiling,” a beaming coach Pete Carroll said after Leinart’s announcement.

1. That surprises me
I heard he will finish up his studies early so I thought he was a lock for the draft.

I am glad he's staying though.

11. I hope my Dolphins don't force the #2 pick on Rodgers
I live in the West and watched almost every Cal game. They have the type of sophisticated offense that terrorizes basic college defenses and makes the QB look better than he is. Tedford has done that everywhere he has been.

Rodgers has a good release but nowhere near the perfect change of velocity and trajectory of a Matt Leinart. He doesn't look as tall as listed, either. After watching the bowl game my NFL opinion of Rodgers plummeted quite a bit.

10. I agree...college was set up to be four years, not some factory
to spit out professional athletes. I know, I know, it's really not like that anymore. But the kid realizes just how important an education is. Good for him, in a world where some kids don't even make it past their freshman eayr!

7. You might wanna get
an O-line that can run and pass block during the same game and some receivers that can catch first. ;)
