The great Philly outfielder, MVP of the 64 All Star game and fan favorite for years at Connie Mack Stadium has left us at the age of 67. No doubt very sad news for Old Philly Fans everywhere.

Got into the games free after the third inning. He was a larger then life hero to a ten year old. God Bless em. And wasn't that homecoming he got from his teammates at homeplate to end the 64 all star game sweet?

He was one of the first Phillies I followed. Callison, Allen, Mahaffey, Dalyrimple, hell even Bunning it breaks my heart to say now. Callison going means a little bit more of my childhood gone too. God Bless him and his family.
