As much as I hate the Yankees...Jeter is a class act...
In contrast to the handwringing over the MVP award going to Justin Morneau (who deserved it) by Yankees fans and baseball stat geeks, Jeter was nothing but classy about coming up short in the voting!!!

I also harbor no ill will towards Bernie Williams. He and Jeter are OK by me, despite my hard feelings towards the rest of the Yanks.

3. I've always respected Derek Jeter, and I doubt that will ever change.
I don't like the Yankees either, but both I do enjoy watching both him and Bobby Abreu, who in my opinion is a very underrated player.
