"Denver forward Nene and Minnesota center Michael Olowokandi were each suspended four games Saturday by the NBA for fighting.

The two squared off late in the third quarter of the Timberwolves' 93-83 victory in Denver on Friday night.

Olowokandi bumped Nene twice as they fought for a rebound at Minnesota's end with 7.1 seconds left in the quarter, then Nene pushed him away. Olowokandi followed by pushing Nene in the face, and the Nuggets' forward charged in throwing punches, landing one to the side of Olowokandi's head.

The players flailed at each other for several seconds in front of the scorer's table before being separated and escorted from the floor."

1. Well, maybe the NBA does need a penalty box.
Heck, it could be fun to introduce the power play to basketball.

2. I recommended that
as a joke at the end of my "new rules for the NBA" thread a while back.

Power plays would rock.
