Ray Durham...
Why the hell would the Giants pay $7 mil/year for Ray Durham? That seems a bit extreme for a second baseman who's slightly above average at best and is on the downside of his career. And that's nothing against Ray Durham -- I like his play, though I liked it better when he still stole bases -- but $7 mil?!? Sheesh!

I suppose the same reason the Cubs would sign some guy named DeRosa to a ludicrous contract.
