BOOMER SOONER!!!
Edited on Sun Dec-03-06 12:57 AM by Counciltucky
Oklahoma beat Nebraska to win the Big 12 Championship tonight.

The Sooners handily beat the obviously inferior Cornhuskers, 21-7, intercepting four errant Nebraska passes.

{btw, I don't attend OU ... yet (I just applied to grad school there) ... I just really really hate Nebraska. Like the way Fred Phelps hates gays.}

1. So, umm ...

You mean you're a latent Nebraska fan and so ashamed of it you think Huskers deserve to die? :evilgrin:

Boomer, Sooner!!! I really wonder how the Sooner season would have been different if not for that shameful call during the Oregon game. The whole conversation at this time of year would be different.

2. Boomer Sooner!
What grad school program did you apply to? (I was an undergrad there, but just moved away last year to go to grad school elsewhere.)

3. Communication.
I go to Iowa right now, but their grad program in Comm is extremely exclusive -- over 150 people have applied, they'll accept only 9, and my GPA is 2.83 at the moment. Thus, I'm not overly optimistic about getting into that program (though Mass Comm isn't ruled out).

4. well, good luck either way
I don't know much about the comm department at OU, other than that the communication grad students that I knew (one of whom I had as an instructor and a couple others whom I came into contact with through the newspaper when I was a journalism student) were friendly and intelligent.

The Comm program at Iowa certainly sounds competitive, but who knows what may happen. Grad school apps can be a real crapshoot. :)

Good luck! :toast:

5. Thanks dude!
I just hope to get in somewhere, lol. And I would have no problem with OU -- any school which champions itself as Nebraska's archrival is good by my standards.
