Brees V Rivers - Super Bowl 41 ??
Idle speculation on what might not come true but would be one helluva game chock full of stories to keep talking heads blathering for months.

By the way, how'd the Cowboys do on Sunday Night. According to the talking heads I was religiously listening to they are the best team in the NFC.

1. I'd still say Chargers-Bears, but I'm not
gonna bet against the Saints.

2. Let's wait and see how the Bears do tonight at St. Louis.
I'm wondering will we see "Good Rex" or "Bad Rex"??

Also the fact that Tommy Harris is hurt is rather worrying as well.

4. Start Griese. Chicago is 1 and out in the PO's with Grossman
There is no good rex, or bad rex. It's crappy rex, and slightly less crappy rex.

Griese can play big when he is asked to. He used to play against my Bolts all the time when he was the starter with the Broncos, and you can at least be assured that he is disciplined enough to reduce the mistakes at the QB position, and if the Bears lose, it will not be because of him.

3. Story #2: Bush (the good one) vs. his hometown team
How did the Cowboys do last night, anyway? :P If Romo's QB rating approaches the approval rating of a certain other Texas newcomer, they might have to move the team to Crawford...

5. It'll be the Ravens vs. Bears/Saints/Cowboys...
with the Giants not an impossibility out of the NFC.

16. If the Giants aren't an impossibility, then the Eagles certainly aren't
either. Hell, even the Seahawks could make it back. Unlikely, but possible.

6. I'd love that matchup.
I would love to se the Bolts face the Saints. The Saints are 1-3 vs AFC teams and Marty is much smarter than a rookie head coach. ;)

Although...Brees is a stud, period. He is absolutely one of my favorite players ever. I have 2 autographed pics, and an autographed game ball from him that he was nice enough to sign in training camp a couple of years ago. Plus the intrigue alone. Huge drama involved on the biggest stage in sports.

7. The rookie headcoach matched up pretty well against
Parcells Sunday night. Brees could be elected Governor of Louisiana right now. He is a very proactive, positive member of the community. And the other matchup going on right now - Brees or LT for league MVP. An awesome SuperBowl indeed.

9. I'll take the rookie over Marty in the playoffs
Especially after two years ago when the Jets and Chargers decided to see who could lose consciousness first by self strangulation.

8. I think the NFC is up for grabs and its whoever gets momentum going
"According to the talking heads I was religiously listening to they are the best team in the NFC."

And before that it was my beloved Giants and before that it was the Chicago Bears as possibly the best team ever! God the media has been bandwagon schizo this year!

10. I like the Chargers to make it but the NFC sucks overall.
Anyone who makes the playoff from the NFC could get the Bowl because the conference flat out sucks. Hell, the whole league is just mediocre. Too many teams.

11. I like the Chargers chances to make it as well.
That's if Marty doesn't resort to "Martyball" in the playoffs, like he's done in the past.

12. i'm down..
the Chargers just look good, period. Also, I think the league has kinda decided that the Chargers are going to be the team this year. I've seen some very questionable (non)calls go the Chargers way this season.

13. I say its a distinct possibility....
The Chargers are doing VERY well this year, the Saints have surprised me...the Bears are the number 1 contender for the NFC(I believe), but their qb is terrible...Grossman doesn't do jack except cause his team to flounder...its a good thing his defense saves his skin...if Grossman was on any other team, he would have been benched four games ago. But, if Griese started, oh boy...watch out.

But, I wouldn't discount the Saints one bit...
