2. I'm beginning to think...
The Sports forum is dominated with Jets and Steeler fans.. since that thread flourished when I posted it... so once that game ended.. all the Jet fans were too exhausted to post anymore.. and the Steeler fans are too busy drooling over the AFC Championship.

though I may disagree with their policies, you can't disagree that they are good players, coaches, or owners.

Diff'rnt Strokes for different folks.

9. Okay,
Which team is going to come alive first? Both teams seem to be a bit sluggish. Granted it's just the beginning of the game... but whichever team "comes alive" first will be the one that's going to take it in my opinion.

13. Colts defense, early, seem to have Pats number. Pats seem skittish on off.
And, Colts off seems real shaky. Could be a long game.

If the Pats click, though, .....

15. Gosh...
Patriots get the field goal to take the 3-0 lead.. but seveteen plays and only coming up with 3 points?.... Then again.. points are points.

16. What are the ranks of these defenses? Do you happen
to know off hand?

Seems to me with good defenses points are at a premium.

If the defenses really are that good, the SB is gonna be
an AFC blowout.

17. Sadly no......
I don't know.. but I don't think the Colts defense is ranked all that high... but I'm not sure about that.

I should mention one thing... that Patriot's Drive was over 9 minutes long.... the more time on offense they waste.. the less time Manning is on the field (and yes I'm only saying that because one of the announcer's said it.. wish I thought of that on my own though heh)

18. Colt's D must be playing out of their minds then.

I can't really buy that the NE offense intentionally
got that drive to be that long and then planned to settle
for three. No offense really wants to work that hard for
that long.

Anyway, just thinking about it. I seem to be getting lucky
in the breaks that I take something always seems to happen.
(I got to see the field goal.)

19. Well...
That's their second FG making it 6-0

Your right.. the Patriots should've had a touchdown on that first big run of theirs... but due to a penalty the had it taken away and had to settle for the FG...

32. After that TD
I really really really have no confidence in the Colts coming back to win. 20-3... I mean it's not IMPOSSIBLE but it's going to take A. Touchdowns by the Colts and B. The Colts Defense actually stopping the Patriots and getting them to punt the ball instead of taking up so much time on the clock. I don't see B happening.

36. Well, the home teams with the byes did pretty well this week.

Wasn't that 4-0 for the home town?

Makes that extra week seem kind of superfluous to
me -- fun but unnecessary.

I'll root for Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, just because
Atlanta's in the South South and New England's won
one recently.
