Who made the biggest blunder in the NFL draft? Who got the biggest steal?
My votes:

Biggest blunder would be a toss-up between Miami not taking Brady Quinn and the Packers not taking Quinn or a first-round replacement for Ahman Green.

Biggest steal I think will be Baltimore picking up Troy Smith on the 2nd day. Without the pressure of being a high-round pick, and being able to learn from talent like Steve McNair, Smith could be a real force in the NFL.

2. 21 teams didn't take Quinn...
The Phins think Beck from Utah is better and after reading up on the dude, I think they might be right.

3. True.
Before the draft, I didn't think much of him. But then I was reading TMQ the other day - and Gil Brandt has a system for predicting college QB success in the NFL. It's deadly accurate, and it's blindingly simple: how many games did they start? Here's his ranking of QBs, and he does have Beck in his top 10:

My Vikes had a chance on him too, and at the time I'm sure I would have screamed had they drafted Quinn. Peterson is still a top-notch pick but I look at our QB situation and just don't know.

4. Well Randy Muellers track record of picking QB's aint to bad either.
Here's the thing in a nut shell... we won't know until late 2007 or 2008 if Brady, Beck or any of the draftees will be all that.

5. Yep, that's the thing.

I read some kind of analysis on that too - and the so-called "skilled" positions in the first round have the greatest chance of not panning out. Want to get as close to a "sure thing" as you can get in the first round? Apparently you want a safety.

9. longer than that
judge the QB situation in 2010 or 11, remember, Ryan Leaf outperformed Peyton Manning in their rookie years. Peyton got better. Ryan didn't. It would be unfair to compare any of them in their first years, the number of rookie QBs who have success they maintain is really small (lately, it is a club of one, Mr. Brady) the jury is still out on Rothlesberger, for instance, despite a great rookie year for wins.

6. Mueller and Cameron, both.
Remember, Cameron is the guy that developed Drew Brees and Philip Rivers in San Diego.

The only thing that bothers me a little bit about Beck is that he'll be 26 when the season starts. That's three developmental years that other QBs have that he doesn't, so he's got to be that much better. He could still do it, though, and I think he's got the skill set.

7. Agree----plus he's 6:2 which is kind of small for a modern day QB.
BUT--- he's far more accurate than Brady. Like I said---who knows.

11. Brady Quinn will NOT be
Joe Montana, he's going to be Rick Mirer.
