Question About Horse Racing |
|
If you pick an exacta, like the first three horses to finish a race, how much money do you win?
If I put $10 on three horses to finish in an exact order, how do I figure out how much money I'd win if those horses came in that order?

2. Tricky question because we don't know the odds. |
|
First off--- what you're thinking about is a Trifecta. That's 3 horses---an exacta is 2 horses.
Second: The odds come into play for Exactas and Trifectas--- plus the betting pool for those plays.
I've seen Trifectas as low as 20 bucks and as high as 100,000 bucks. The 20 buckers were all big favorites--- and the 100,000 were all big long shots....

3. You need to know the Ex and Tri pool totals... |
|
if you are at the track they will show pool totals on the signal feed and the exacta pay-outs usually.
