If "your team" is in the AFC North, gotta question for you.
I'm a die-hard Bengals fan, and out of sheer hatred for the Patriots, I am cheering on the Steelers all the way. It's a little weird to support a division foe, but I suppose I hate the Patriots just that much.

Anyway, of your team, who is your biggest division rival? As a Bengals fan (though I don't live in Cincinnati, or Ohio for that matter), I feel like it's the Ravens. God, I can't stand the Ravens. I feel like other Bengals fans would agree. For some reason, I just can't get AS upset at the Steelers or Browns after losing to them.

Who do Steelers fans absolutely HATE? Or Browns fans? Or Ravens fans?

1. As a life long Pats fan
I just have to ask why do you hate them?? They spent years as footballs biggest joke and have worked hard to put together a winning team.

3. I'll give you that.
They are the best run, best coached franchise in all of Sports.

If they win it all this year that would be what...
three out of four or three out of five Super Bowls?

That's borderline (and a very thin borderline) dynasty.

I have to hand it to the Pat's.

They are doing just about everything right.

They have come a long way from back when they were owned by that Victor Kiam asshole...the Lady Remington shaver clown.

4. Well, I do suppose hate was rather strong.
I don't HATE them. And I was actually ecstatic when they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. But, you know, I like underdogs, and they're the opposite now. They're becoming the 49ers (or Cowboys) of the 90's, who I also despised (but that's also because of Super Bowl 23). Don't know exactly what it is, just can't like 'em anymore. You know how it is, the sports media just won't shut up about them when teams get to be this good. It made my feelings of the Patriots turn from affection to annoyance.

Plus, I have this wild fantasy that the Patriots will get beat, then next year, the Bengals will beat the Patriots in the playoffs, thus rendering Corey Dillon's rabble-rousing a big waste of time. It would be a nice FU for Dillon's behavior shortly before leaving Cincinnati. A man can dream can't he?

2. Broncos fan here
And we hate the Chiefs and they hate the Raiders.

But I think we hate each other more than we both hate the Raiders.

And I LIVE in Kansas City.

5. I'm a Browns fan
Moved from Cleveland to Florida 2 years ago.

Historically, we've always hated the Steelers. I had plenty of fights at Browns-Steelers games. But I was actually a Steeler fan when Art Modell moved the team to Baltimore, and we really hated the Ravens.

Now to confuse things even more, Bill Bellichek left a really bad taste in everyones mouth, the way he dumped Bernie Kosar, and screwed up the Browns.

So this Sunday, although I dislike both teams, my money will go on the Patriots, depending on the line of course.

And for the Bengals? No problem. We usually beat them.

...but we got you back in the shootout.

The Browns have some major problems it seems, while the Bengals are going up next year. I'm looking for a clean sweep against the Browns next year

Pat's defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel will be the Browns new head coach. He was with the team for one year before Butch Davis came in.

10. The cities of Pittsburgh and Baltimore have a long rivalry
I can't tell you why but I went to the first game in Baltimore in the new stadium (BTW-they were originally called the Baltimore Browns and there were t-shirts and such printed up)against the Steelers.

I have NEVER heard the language that I heard that day. I can cuss with the best of them but this was crude and VERY personal.

12. You should have been at the old Cleveland Stadium
For a Steelers game. Talk about language and fights.

I went to a game once at 3 Rivers. Much more polite.

14. They weren't too crazy about Kordell
and they seemed to be pretty sure about his sexual activities.

They cast aspersions on mine too because I was still standing up after the kickoff. I was at a corporate outing so I couldn't do or say anything but apparently this guy was SURE that well............you can imagine what he said. I realized everyone was sitting down (I was used to college games) so I turned around to see who said that and the whole family looked remarkably alike. Spookily alike.

That was the first and last game I have been to. Not that I wouldn't go again but I just haven't gotten a free ticket like I did for that one.

My co-workers told me hilarious stories about seeing games at the old stadium on 33rd street. One woman and her husband were poor (just married) so they cooked hot dogs the night before and bought tickets in the nose bleeds and sat there and ate hot dogs (traded them for beer too). They won't let you do that anymore. Another co-worker told me that a few seats away from his (in the old stadium) two guys bought THREE season tickets-between them was the seat reserved for the keg they carried in. The keg had its own season ticket and seat-they shared with everyone around them.

15. don't HATE the Pats
they are the classiest, best managed, best coached team in all of sports.

you don't hear any sh** talking from any of them (or at least you hear it rarely), they don't disrespect their opponents, they work more as a team than most other "teams", there are no superstars who think they have to refer to themselves in the third person...

for numerous reasons, please don't hate the Pats! Remember what they did when they appeared in the Super Bowl in 2002? The entered as 'A TEAM' and remember this was right after 9/11. Spoke volumes to the country I think.

From what I've heard, Tom Brady is the first person to go to mgmt every year and offer to restruture his contract if it will help bring in new talent.

NE Fans have suffered much over the years - they are no bandwagon fans - Right along with Sox fans!

16. Browns fans hate the Steelers
But for some reason I find I'm pulling for them this year. This year they've got the magic.

Ratbirds? They are beyond hate...I only feel numbness.

Anybody here remember that day in the 70s when Mean Joe Greene was jumping up and down on Doug Dieken's stomach while he was laying on the ground at midfield? Grrr....

18. Steelers Fan.....Probably the Ravens are the biggest rival
Things got all screwed up with that nimrod moved to Baltimore. Everyone hated him for doing it. Pittsburgh fans hated him for destroying one of the best and longest rivalries in sports. Cleveland fans hated him for moving their beloved team away.

Ten years ago the answer would have been the Browns. Funny thing happened though. People here in Pittsburgh were so happy to have the Browns back (I remmeber lots of friendly 'welcome back' signs at the stadium for the first game). We were so happy to have the rivalry back that it sort of eased off. Since then the Browns really haven't gotten back off the ground. I hope they do though.

So all our hatred was poured into the Ravens. Then they got good and won a superbowl. That sealed it. At this point the biggest 'rival' the Steelers have is the Ravens. I don't think there is a question on that. I just hope that the Ravens continue their downward drift, while the Bengals and Browns head back up. I miss there being a good Browns team.

19. the vikings
the rivalry between the packers and the bears is a real friendly, ha ha old chum sort of rivalry

but the packers/vikings rivalry is fucking vicious...we all hate each other

at packer/bear games the people get drunk together; at the packer/viking games the people get drunk and fight each other

21. If loathe the Browns...
The Baltimore Browns that is. (Not to be confused of course with the New Cleveland Browns)

I'm a Steelers fan. Steelers fans still know exactly who those guys are. Just because you change your address & and put on a disguise, doesn't change your identity.

I'm pretty much agnostic with regard to the New Cleveland Browns.

22. Ravens have replaced Browns as the Steelers big rival
It's always fun to play the Browns but they simply haven't been good enough recently to make it interesting. With the Ravens, it always feels like a playoff game.

I hated the Bengals growing up, but again, they have stunk for far far too long. When the Steelers play in Cincinatti, there are 20,000 Steeler fans there. It feels like a home game.

26. I think that'll change real soon.
You're right though, it was depressing to see.

From the Bengals website: "As best we can determine from our records, this is easily our biggest first day for season ticket sales in franchise history." Assuming last year's season ticket holders renew, the lower level is gone already.

I think Cincinnati knows what's coming, and it's the return of The Jungle. Can you say 2005 AFC North title? Sounds hilarious, I know, but if we can muster a 10th to 15th ranked defense, it can be done. No one has EVER done what we did to the Ravens this year in Baltimore. I was damn proud that day.

29. I still love beating Cleveland
But it's beginning to feel like abuse. During those five weeks when Kelly Holcomb looked like a real quarterback, there was some spark to the rivalry. But that was it since the team has been back.

All I know is at the beginning of the year, I check to see when the Ravens' games are.
