Yankees Teammate Criticizes Clemens |
|
Kyle Farnsworth, a reliever for the Yankees has come out and criticized the deal that allows Roger Clemens to leave the team when he is not pitching. Sportswriters who supported the deal were saying the deal was not a problem since none of Clemens' teammates had complained about the deal. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/05/17/bc.bba.yankees.farnsworth.ap/index.html

1. It should be a problem. As manager I would want my pitchers to scout |
|
opposing hitters as much as possible.

The best rightie since Walter Johnson, and maybe better. If you were designing an all-ever team, he's in your starting rotation, right? Even now he's one of the top ten in the game. He can watch film at home as well as on a road trip, right?

3. But from the dugout he may see something he can pass on to whoever |
|
is on the mound.
It just seems to defeat the concept of team.

4. Clemens never gave a damn about anyone but himself. |
|
It's always been that way and always will be that way.

Clemens is a mercenary. He couldn't give two shits about what team means or what he has to offer to other, younger pitchers. He comes in, throws, and stops by the bank on the way home.
I say this, and I'm a Yanks fan.
