Red Sox - Yankees games take 4 hours. They just beat my team in 2hrs 26min. |

I got home in time to see only the last 3 innings.
I guess I'm not complaining about a normal length game like tonight. I just want to know why the Boston - New York games take so long?

Seriously - every one of these games is on ESPN, and they're crammed so full of commercials that it extends the game by miles. Between half innings, there are only supposed to be 60 seconds, I think, but the commercials stretch it out to easily over two minutes most of the time.

3. They're not ALL on ESPN |

Both teams go deep into counts and get a lot of players on base that extend innings. I don't think it has anything to do with commercials.
