Today I learned that Kevin Durant cannot lift 180 pounds at least one time. It seems that some people think that since he cannot lift 180 pounds he may not be that good of an NBA player. Is it really that bad of a thing for a guy to not be able to lift 180 pounds. Does Durant need to lift 180 pounds to play really well in the NBA? According to some, if Durant cannot lift 180 pounds he will not have enough muscle to go up against the player in the NBA. So, is his inability to lift 180 pounds really going to be a problem?

...it could affect his ability to hold up, playing his style, over the course of a season. He's not the kind of player that is strictly a jump shooter - part of his game is played around the rim, so he will be going up against much bigger, stronger guys every single game. If he's that weak, durability will be an issue.

he is too young and small to make am immediate impact over a full 82 game season, although with work this can come. until you actually see it, upclose and personal like, you have no idea how big, fast and strong even the worst player in the NBA are. strength is underrated in the NBA, I think, you take a hell of a beating over 82 games of driving to the hoop and getting whacked by freakish physical specimens over and over and over again.

4. He'll be able to get away with it for a season or so. Then he'll either have to get a lot stronger.. |

... or spend the rest of his career on injured reserve.
It's ok though, 'cuz he's a fucking kid. Kids grow.
