1. Nick Saban has more of an adjustment to make
Nolan's impact will be greater sooner. And in the NFL you've got to get things rolling soon because ownership will rarely give you a lot of time to turn things around.

2. I Think Nick Saban Has NFL Experience Too...

He was an assistant to Bill Bellichek at Cleveland.....

Also, he has more to work with assuming the Dolphins have no big defections on defense....

They have an awesome pass defense... They just need a big nose tackle to replace Tim Bowens if he can't go... Zgonia didn't get it done....

3. The Niners also play in a much weaker division
Neither Seattle or the Rams are likely to dominate that division for any long stretch, IMO.

Whereas the Dolphins must face the Pats, Jets and Bills twice each year. That's a pretty brutal schedule that could make things very tough.

The Dolphins may only need a Nose tackle on Defense, but they are going to need to totally rebuild the offense as well. The 49'ers have a pretty underrated defense of their own.

Both teams are far off, I just like Nolan's chances a tad better.
