Roy Williams just busted the hell out of Ravens running back Smith's leg |

One of those stomach-turning replays. :puke:

2. Not as awful as the Theismann one, but nasty. |

Got his lower leg pinned to the turf then the rest of him got yanked over the top of Williams. When he rolled up out of there his calf had a pronounced side-to-side bend that didn't belong there between his ankle and his knee, and when he rolled the rest of the way the lower part flopped back in the other direction, so it's clear both bones (tibia and fibula?) are broken. Before the replay Moose Johnson said it looked like a high ankle sprain...then they brought the cart out as soon as the trainers got there, so they showed the replay once. Moose said "We don't need to look at that again!"

For a second I had the image of North Carolina hoops coach Roy Williams committing said act. That's kinda out of his character.

Made me nauseous, I remember it well. He almost lost the leg...it literally came apart at the knee joint tearing up most all the connective tissue and the blood supply. <shudder>

8. No, the skin didn't break...just about everything else at the joint did. |
|
If he had a kneepad in that's basically a circular piece of foam that fits in an interior pocket in front of the knee...the trainer might have tossed it to get access. Maybe you saw that?
