Hey, is Donnie Iris going to do the anthem again in Pittsburg on Sunday? |
|
If I recall correctly he sang it the last time New England beat the Steelers in a playoff game in Pittsburg... ;-) See if you can't get him to do a few bars of "Ah! Leah!" while he's at it - I love that song! :-)
Pats 24, Steelers 13....

Jagoff is Pittsburghese for "one who jags (teases)." It's mostly used as a term of endearment. If I'm not mistaken, this is where the name "Jaggerz" comes from (a more acceptable form of "Jaggoffz").
Thorns are also called jaggers (as in jagger bushes). Pittsburghese is a hoot. :)

7. I did not know that... |
|
Interesting...Where I'm from, "jagoff" has rather more vulgar connotations and is used as a general term of abuse.

9. I've heard "jagoff" used as a slightly less vulgar form of "jack-off" |
|
Maybe "jagoff" originated in Pittsburg and then the meaning changed somewhat when it spread to other areas...
Cute dictionary :-)

My jagoffs will win, although it might take an "ejaculate reception." ;)

14. You all had a great season... |
|
I suspect we'll be meeting you all in the playoffs for years to come. Some year when the Pats are having a bad season I'd like to see Cowher get a ring...
I grew up during the years when Pittsburg and Dallas were in their ascendency, and I suffered through many horrible 5-11 or 2-14 years when the team was an embarrassment, so I'm just glad that my father and I get to see the Pats win a few in our lifetimes...
