4. I'm rooting for the Pats, but think the Steelers will win...
...logic says Philly will roll over the Falcons, but we know how logically those Eagles play in big games!

2. The weather should make these games pretty interesting
I wouldn't count on field goals by anyone today. And I think you will see little passing and lots of running - just to keep warm. Anyone know when the storm will pass PA?

7. And LOTS of turnovers!!!
I'm really excited about both games today. I have my preferences, but I think that no matter who wins, the games will be worth watching!

8. Whoever capitalizes ont he turnovers will probably win...
...I mean, if one tema turns the ball over 4 times, and the other team doesn't get any points off that, not a good sign.

9. The wind should be a factor, but I don't think there will be a SNOW BOWL
Sounds like this Steel City has been waiting for this game.

Stadium crews set for snow job

Saturday, January 22, 2005
By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Dan Rooney was critical of the snow-covered playing surface at Giants Stadium last year when the Steelers lost to the New York Jets, saying the NFL should take more control of its playing fields in wintry conditions.

That shouldn't be the case tomorrow when the Steelers and New England Patriots meet in the AFC championship game, even though forecasts call for between 3 to 7 inches of snow today.

The Steelers have extra work crews of up to nearly 200 people working round the clock to clear stadium steps, ramps and seating areas in case of heavy snow, said Jim Sacco, director of stadium management at Heinz Field. And the league has assigned personnel to supervise the field conditions -- usual procedure for a league championship game.

"We're ready for everything," said team president Art Rooney II.

Rooney said all the weather reports he has received indicate the snow is expected to stop long before the scheduled 6:30 p.m. kickof

I still remember that playoff game they had in the fog in N.E., that was a hoot

Fog Bowl-II
January 5, 1997
Foxboro Stadium
AFC Playoff Game
New England (28) vs. Pittsburgh (3)

Drew Bledsoe struck early with a 53 yard pass to Terry Glenn on the first play. But otherwise, the heavy mist and fog upset the passing game, and Curtis Martin took advantage with 166 yards rushing, including a 78-yard score in this AFC Playoff upset.
