Hypothetical - Which would be more disappointing?
If (and only if) the Eagles lose today, they will have lost FOUR straight NFC title games at HOME. The Buffalo Bills of the early 90's lost FOUR straight Super Bowls.

Which would be more considered more disappointing?

As an aside - I'm not rooting for the Eagles to lose, or anti-Eagle in any way. Just like pondering these unanswerable questions...

1. The most disappointing would be
the Eagles haters who would delight in an Eagles loss. They are pathetic and lead lives of profound desperation.

8. Stupid Eagles-haters
Most of them live between Harrisbg and the PA/WV border.

When I was at Penn State, I could always tell when the Astros or KC had just scored during the NL Championship and during the World Series because the whole campus would erupt - Philadelphia-haters every one of them. Made the victory sweeter.

I'd be hoping for an all-PA superbowl if I hadn't seen the Steelers clean our clocks earlier this season...

2. Innaccurate. Only 3 straight at home.
And it would be far more dissappointing to be home while someone elses favorite team is still playing football. If Eagle fans have learned anything, its that the world will still go on if the birds lose. So I will dissappointed if they lose, but at least my team is still playing football in January. HOw is your favorite team doing?

3. My apologies - have lost 2 at home and at STL in 2002
I'm only asking the question, jeez, this isn't GD!

4. GD? Game Day? Grateful Dead?
Didn't mean to sound like I was ripping anyone a new one. Not my intent. What I meant to say is, that I don't care if the Eagles lose today, because at least we got here. I think Bills fans should be proud of going to the big game four straight times, and I totally sympathise with them for having to carry around the "choker" label.

5. I meant General Discussion forums
Things get a little snippy there.

I only threw the comparison out because I thought it might draw some opinions. You should be proud of the Eagles, because they got there. Better than teams like the Cardinals/Browns/49ers/etc. that have gotten so bad they can barely compete year after year.

6. Hard to Say but I'd say it was harder on the Bills.
The Bills were a dominant team in the AFC for four straight years. Yeah they had some luck here and there, but just APPEARING in four straight is a HUGE accomplishment. To lose them all. Well it was devastating to the Bills faithful who are some of the best and dedicated fans in the league.

As far as the Eagles (and yeah it'd only be 3 straight at home not 4) blowing a 4th NFC championship. I'd say the feeling is simliar, but probably a little less. When you lose the NFC championship instead of the Superbowl there are a few more 'What if's than if you were in the Super Bowl. Four more really. It's pretty disapointing, but if those same Eagles had lost the BIG game 4 times in a row...I'd say it'd be harder because you'd have had 8 more build up weeks of hope only to be crushed.

That's probably the difference. 8 additional weeks of hope to be squashed.

Bills were more disapointing.
