Already played a Super Bowl (Montana Era) at Stanford Stadium, which is in Palo Alto, about 50 miles down the Bayshore freeway from Candlestick Park. Mid-1980's, I can't recall the year exactly.

That's not in their home stadium, but it's certainly close enough to sleep in their own beds the night before the game.

I checked 49ers website. 1985 Super Bowl. Niners beat Miami 38-14 at Stanford Stadium. Attendance 84,xxx.

2. Home field should've been more specific
But I'm sure that game was pretty much a home game for them.

5. Likewise, in January 1980...
...the (then) L.A. Rams lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19 at the Rose Bowl. While it wasn't technically their home field (at the time, the Rams had finished their last year at the L.A. Coliseum, and were moving to Anaheim Stadium the following season), and, strictly speaking, they were listed as the "visiting team," for all intents and purposes it was a home game.

3. I'll take the Dolphins.
Rumor has it that Edgerin James is going to sign with Miami when the FA signing period starts which will help them tremendously. They have good receivers and a good defense. A.J. Feeley was not very successful but I'll give him a mulligan until we see what he can do with the help of a running game. Of the three, this seems most likely but still a very long shot.
